Nature Coast EMS Community
We uphold our strong dedication to the community through numerous efforts showcasing our core values for family safety, security, education and community fellowship.

Helping through Tough Times
In 2008, Nature Coast EMS donated more than $2,949,107 of uncompensated care for Citrus County residents who requested ambulance services. Uncompensated care, contractual discounts and write-down amounts would have been otherwise borne by county and city taxpayers.
Upholding Environmental Responsibility
To recycle is part of the organization’s commitment to our customers, our patients and our own families and friends. To that end, Nature Coast EMS is partnering with F.D.S. Disposal inc. in a model recycling program for businesses that saves land space at the Citrus County landfill.
Generating Community Interest and Involvement
Nature Coast EMS hosts ‘open house’ days for Citrus County residents where they can get acquainted with the ambulances, see the facility, hear interesting speakers and get involved by interacting with its team members.

As a response to the threat of an oncoming hurricane season, with the possibility of 12 named storms and six hurricanes, Nature Coast EMS did its part in participating in the free all-hazard and informational expo held for Citrus Community residents to make sure that residents of Citrus County were prepared to protect their loved ones, their homes and their businesses from severe weather and other hazards.
Nature Coast EMS teamed up with the Citrus County Health Department, Fire Rescue, Animal Services and the National Weather Service to provide valuable information to educate and assist citizens in the unfortunate events of potential emergencies. As part of their commitment to safeguard the residents of Citrus County, Nature Coast EMS informed the residents how to prepare for the hurricane season, the threat of severe weather and other potential hazards.
Creating strong ties amongst Community groups
Nature Coast is involved with the following Citrus County Communities:
