Donald Carpenter, Baker Act Driver - Wednesday, August 20, 2008
Nature Coast EMS welcomes Donald Carpenter.  Donald joined the Nature Coast EMS Team on August 14, 2008.  In addition to being a NCEMS Baker Act Driver, he is a volunteer Firefighter/EMT with Citrus County Fire Rescue.

EMS Chief Wayne Martin presents PM Jennifer Green Employee of the Month awar

EMS Chief Wayne Martin presents May's Employee of the Month award to Paramedic Jennifer Green. Paramedic Jennifer Green showed her true company pride by putting forth such an effort in making the First Annual Nature Coast EMS Awards Banquet a success. Jen put in numerous hours of her time, focused on the benefit of others, and lead the way in getting this project accomplished. She kept a low profile and sought no recognition for her effort, but this is once again a show of her true leadership skill and ability. Jen is always positive and her attitude is infectious to those around her.

Amoung the billions of stars in the sky, the sun is the one that outshines all others, illuminating our lives. You bring warmth to each of us with your glowing smile and radiant kindness, lighting the path to a joy-filled future. Thanks for brightening up our days!

Teresa Thomas was selected by VFW Post 4252 as EMS Emergency Medical Technician of the year. Teresa began her career in pre-hospital emergency medicine in 1990. during her time here in Citrus County she has recieved numerous letters of accomodation. In 1998 she was deployed to the East coast of Florida to assist in the fire storms which swept that area, and she was once again called upon to deployed in 2004 to the panhandle to assist in medical aid after Hurrican Ivan devastated that area as well. Teresa actively demonstrates the highest level of compassion for those she serves!

Tom McClure was selected by VFW Post 4337 as EMS Paramedic of the year. Tom began his career in 1979. Tom has been a vital compnet of EMS in Citrus County for many years, during which he has risen to the rank of District Supervisor overseeing the daily EMS operations during his shift, and is responsible for functioning as the EMS Disaster Operations Chief during any major activation. He has particpated in joint assignments in special operations with the Citrus County Sheriff's Department Tactical and Dive teams, along with the U.S. Customs Service. His leadership ability is an asset to EMS in Citrus County.
Solicitation and Fundraising Information

The EMT's and Paramedics employed by Nature Coast EMS are represented by a Union, the International Assocation of EMT's and Paramedics, Local 365.  The Union participates with a professional fundraising company that calls people and asks for donations on behalf of the "EMT's and Paramedics in Citrus County".  The Local 365 has the legal right to hire marketers to raise money for their Union as a separate entity from and without authorization by Nature Coast Emergency Medical Services.

Nature Coast Emergency Medical Services does not receive any money that is contributed to the IAEP, Local 365.  Nature Coast Emergency Medical Services is not affiliated with said solicitation/fundraising efforts of the International Association of EMT's and Paramedics or the IAEP, Local 365.
