This past week, we conducted mandatory driver training for all team members. Floyd Mead, our training captain, created the course which depicts many challenges our EMT’s and paramedics have faced in recent years.
Our goal is to create a safer environment allowing us to better serve the community.
We have had numerous driving incidents in recent years that were caused by our negligence and lack of training. Hopefully, initiatives like this will allow us to mitigate such occurrences moving forward.
This training will be incorporated into our MOE process for every new hire EMT and paramedic moving forward.
Be a part of our growing team. Now offering a $2,500 sign on bonus for paramedics. 50% paid upon hire, 50% paid after completing probationary period.
Nature Coast EMS is Citrus County’s exclusive, not-for-profit (501(c)3), Advanced Life Support 9-1-1 emergency responder and medical transportation provider.
The organization was established on October 1st, 2000. We work to perform, monitor and enhance our care with the overall objective of ensuring clinical excellence. It is our county-wide, on-time response that benchmarks our excellent customer service and attentiveness. It is our fiscal accountability and efficiency that proves the company’s organizational effectiveness.
In 2007, Nature Coast EMS trained all Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to skill proficiency in intravenous catheterization and in 2020 started administering Narcan for overdoses.
By doing so, the EMTs offer invaluable assistance for their paramedic partners during a response requiring advanced life support services.
Because we know that seconds can feel like hours during a medical emergency, Nature Coast EMS highly values its on-time response performance record.
The Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services granted Nature Cost EMS national reaccreditation in November 2015 making it one of only 16 ambulance providers in the State of Florida and one of less than 170 ambulance services nationwide to achieve the “gold standard” industry standard. We are currently working on our reaccreditation for 2018 and expect to complete it with flying colors.
Nature Coast EMS has been serving Citrus County since October 2000.
